WELCOME ABOARD Hello to all of you Salmon & Trout fisherpersons!
We welcome all of you to our recently re-done club web-site. Our club is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization. For more information on our club check out our club’s informational flyer at the “Join Us” link under the “Club Events” link on this web-site. We would encourage all of you that fish Lake Michigan for Salmon & Trout to join one of the many fine Great Lakes Sport Fishermen Clubs on the Western shore of the lake. Most of our club members fish out of the Port Washington harbor located in Ozaukee County. We would certainly be glad to have you join our club! Give us a call at (262) 644-8481 for more info on our club and its many activities.
Now, we invite you to enter our July 3rd, 4th & 5th G.L.S.F.-Oz. Public Fishing Derby and our July 4th 1st Annual Port Washington Salmon Shoot Out Fishing Tournament! The profits from our Derby and our new Tournament are used by our club to further protect & improve upon the World Class Salmon & Trout fishery that we all enjoy so very much in Lake Michigan. Click on to our web-sites “Club Derby” link for all of the rules, info and entry forms. Advance sale tickets are available for our Derby at a reduced price to you. Thank you for entering our Derby & our Tournament and good luck fishing them!
Toll-free Fishing Hotline! Our Fishing Hotline number has been changed to 1 - (866) 516-2796 and it is now toll-free. Yes, that means you will get through to the fishing report on your first call, no more redialing & redialing to get through. Good Fishing To You Always, Club President Bob Hammen
Port Washington Salmon Shootout Yes, Port Washington Salmon Shootout is the name of our club's first annual $100.00 per boat tournament. Board member & club Treasurer Paul Pogrant will be the chairman of this new event for our club. New board member , Phil Moreau will be assisting him .This new Tournament will take place on Saturday July 5,2009. The hours will 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday July 6,2009 will be the rain date. The cost is $100.00 a boat with a NINE bait/lure limit. There is a limit of 125 boats so you better register early. Fish caught and registered in this Tournament can also be entered in the July 3rd,4th,5th Public Fishing Derby, if the person catching the fish has purchased a Derby Ticket in advance. The payout will be for the top twenty boats and based on percentages related to the number of boats entered in the tournament. We have been helped a lot by Milwaukee G.L.S.F Board Member Kurt Pokrandt in setting up our Tournament. Thank You Kurt. The rules will basically be the same as Milwaukee's "Brew City Tournament" which is now in its ninth year. We expect to mail out flyers on this Tournament along with our Public fishing Derbies information on both contests in the near future.
